Restylane and Juvederm are made from a material consisting of a non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid naturally produced by the body used to correct facial lines, wrinkles, and folds. Hyaluronic acid is a lubricating and structural protein found in the joints and tissues of every living organism. It is an excellent filler because it is safe, soft, and holds its form very well over time. Since it is not animal derived, no allergy testing is necessary.
